Room rates and availability, reviews, high resolution photos, and more are making users’ experience easier and more personal. Inside AdWords gave us some updates this week regarding Hotel Ads. These updates include adding even more amenity information in search results, more partners in the Book on Google feature, and a broader availability of the Google Hotel Ads Commission program. These updates are making it easier for advertisers to reach travelers when they’re ready to book as well as making it easy for travelers to find information and make choices when booking a hotel stay.
The Local Search Ranking Factors of 2015: Moz’s highly anticipated 2015 Local Search Ranking Factors was released yesterday, September 24th. This research is released on a yearly basis and highlights the major shifts and changes with Google and other search engines related to Local Search Marketing. It’s clear from the report that Google+’s impact and influence on local search results is slowly dying, while things such as behavioral signals – click-through rate, time spent on site, and more— are growing in value. Facebook 360 Degree Videos: On Wednesday, Facebook announced that they’ve begun rolling out 360 degree videos. According to Facebook, in order to create these 360 videos users will need a special set of cameras to simultaneously record a scene. This recording method gives viewers the capability to click and drag your cursor – or press and hold your finger – to view the angle at which you want to watch the video.
